Vogue Pattern 1821: A Simple Make

I have very few dresses in my wardrobe and even fewer that I actually wear. Not sure why. But the thing is, over the past two or three years I’ve been wanting to wear dresses and skirts more often, especially in the summer when it’s hot and humid out. So I made a dress, a winter dress ironically, and there just might be enough cold weather left hanging around to be able to take this dress out for a nice dinner somewhere.

Sew Upcycling: Turning a pair of jeans into a jean skirt

Have you ever bought a pair of jeans, brought them home and did not like the fit? This is the perfect project for you. I bought a pair of jeans at the thrift store and did not like the fit, so instead of taking them back I decided to transform them into a jean skirt. An upcycling experiment. I had a jean skirt a few years ago but I probably donated it to the thrift store in a moment of Marie Kondo mania. So, I needed a jean skirt.
