Let’s Find Your Dream Home

This is a picture of a row of New York brownstone houses.

Welcome to Let's Find Your Dream Home.

So …. what’s your opinion?

So… I’m in the process of looking for a new home.

While I’m lying in bed, in the dark of night, my mind starts to wander.  And I have to admit that sometimes I think about bare naked ladies.

Hey!

Before you make any rude assumptions, I’m specifically referring to their smash hit song,

“If I Had a Million Dollars”

and what kind of home I would buy if I had that kind of cash in my hand.  I strongly recommend these thoughts as a great way to pass the time between 2am and 4am.

A picture of a large country two story home, with red brick, a white painted railing and a Canadian flag flying from the second floor.

There are literally countless reasons why someone would target a particular type of home when they’re searching.  Being overly partial to being ruled by sentimentality, I tend to really favour homes that remind me of beautiful places or the types of places where I lived when I was going through a particularly happy period of my life.

What kind of place would I go for?  For me, it’s a dead heat between an apartment in the big city with a huge balcony, large windows and nice southerly, sunny view.  And the competing favourite is a sprawling country or prairie-type home with lots of land and wide open views from horizon to horizon.

I’m not ashamed to say that I get tingles just thinking about this.

If you had all the money you needed and were searching for a new home, what kind of home would you choose?

Please feel free to share your thoughts on why you would choose a particular type of home below.

“When life gives you basil, make pesto.”

…or make a really delicious salad accompanied by fresh tomatoes and freshly sliced mozzarella.  ☺

I love a good fresh salad, especially in the ‘dog days of summer’ … a balmy Saturday night in the warm evening sun.  Ah…to dream.
